    Angry Cabellas frustration

Got my odyssey spider vise in today..woohooo......but they didnt send my bobbin holder or my whip finisher. They said they were sorry and they would send it out but it would take five days.....very frustrated having my materiel and vise ive been waiting on for a week and I still cant tie. Seems like due to their mistake they should overnight it...lady was rude when i asked about it. Just venting.

Ok, now that you have vented, get over it. I'm sure their world isn't perfect either. Patience is a wonderful tool to develope. I have had Cabellas go out of their way many times when they didn't have too, just to try to please me. Which they always do. I don't know - maybe it was my non-accusatorial demeanor and natural southern charm that prompted them to try to help me. Just sayin----------

Thumbs up best they can do

Cabelas will do the best they can.
I'm not a great fan of the big box stores in general, but Cabelas is at the top of my list when I do need what they have.
I have always been pleased with the service there Illinoisgiller

Where in La are you? If you're close enough I'll lend you a bobbin and show you how to do a whip-finish by hand, or loan you a whip finisher.

Spent some time wednesday in the Earth City , MO Cabelas. Haven't been in one for about 10 yrs.Like a lot of things about the store over BPS, pricing isn't very different. Very good staff, spent a while in the fly dept. Man was very knowledgeable. He used to live in Huntsville,AL and came up to my neighborhood to fish the streams and such. Good experience. Bought a few things that were out of stock in the other places I visit.

Hey Toby you may have already gotten the bobbin by now, but If I you havent I would just go out and buy another one. You will end up wanting several anyway so you dont have to keep changing the thread when you want a different color. Good to see LA'ans getting into tying.

Don't go cheap on the bobbins. buy the ones with a ceramic bead on both ends or a ceramic tube and you'll be ahead of the game. Cheap ones will cut the thread and generally make you mad.
