The biggest thing I would say is don't cut your marabou off at the tail end because it will make a square end and you want a more natural end so cut the end you are tying in.

Other than that enjoy and watch your tying get better and better. Oh and I think sometime we try to make things with too much going on and sometime simple is best.

On the last one personally I would have a little more marabou on that tail because when it gets wet it will streamline a lot. Don't want to over do it either, but just enough. Don't know if you are tying your marabou with stem still in or if you are taking the feathers off the stem to tie it. I do most of the time take it off the stem to tie it as you will get better action that way.

Nice looking jigs and flies!!!!!!! They should all catch fish. If you're worried that some of your materials don't look right check out photo's of the jig swaps and look how others are tied.

Don't worry about the maribou we all had problems with it at first, and I promise it does get better.

The jigs are coming along pretty well! You'll pick up on sizing the tails with more time.

On the flies... I have had a lot more luck using small, sinking bug looking flies for crappie rather than streamers/clousers/buggers. I mostly tie nymphs on #6 or #8 bait hooks for crappie. The hackle collars you have look good, but may need to be a little more sparse on a small hook to get them down to the crappie. Gills are another story and some days will kill anything up on the surface, but late summer, I have to go deeper for them as well. My 2 cents anyway.

Keep it up, everything is looking better and better.
