    Default Jig storage

i know this is a silly question but im new to tying and crappie fishing. Been having great success doing both thus far and just want to glean all the expert advice i can from all of you ole pro's. Just wondering whats the best way to transport and store all of my jigs that i tie? i'm mainly tying 1/32 and 1/16 chenille body and maribou tails jigs. is a basic tackle holder/lure box from walmart ok or is there some better way to store them? i tie for my uncle too so im all the time tying 20-50 jigs and taking them to him.....just been putting them in a ziploc sandwhich bag and not sure if this is the best way. Just needed some advice from you men on what you do and whats best. Thanks and remember....Jesus used a bunch of rag tag fisherman to change the world....may we let Him use us to do the same!

I use some small zip-loc type bags that are 2"X2" clear plastic. You can buy them from most tying materials suppliers. I just put one jig per bag or sometimes two or three of the same pattern. Then put them in a larger zip-loc style bag.

Leaving them all bunched together might cause the hair/feather to kink. I have a plano box, one big compartment, and cut some polyurethane foam (repurposed) to fit into it. Hot glue holds it fine if you desire. Cut into sections creates ridges to stick hook points into if you wish. Box is $5 to $8 depending where you get it. Good snap latches too.
The small ziploc bags work well if you don't crowd em too bad. Lots of places sell jigs in those bags so it must work good enough. Previous thread on jig storage will also tell others options.
