    Welcome from another OH member. I'm west of you via 224 about 45 minutes. Jigs do look good! I do like short tied jig tails also, but use 3" twist tails on small jigs at times as well that stick out pretty far behind the hook and catch just fine.

    Trimming tied ones after they are finished is fine, but better to make them the right length to start with using the pointed ends of the marabou feathers. Just gives a little better action. Go Catch Some Fish!
