    LRB,
Mary Lou, I too have just started tying and Skiptomylu has given me a lot of input.
He referred me to [url=http://www.bobmarriottsflyfishingstore.com url].
When I went to that site I found, I guess, EVERY vise on the market.
It lists them in alphabetical order and gives the price and description.
When you find one that interests you, go to eBay, if you wish, type in "Fly Tying Vises" and find out the "street price" of the vises you have selected.

PS In the jig tying forum on here scroll down and find & read the thread "What they don't tell you about Fly tying" about funny things that have happened to us that no one warned us about when we started - maybe you can avoid some of those things !

Too funny and well put I might add!!

LRB - Welcome from Northern Ohio! An entry level vise won't set you back much, but be warned, if you get hooked (hehe, sorry) by the tying bug you will want a vise that is a little nicer! Have fun and post often!

Welcome, glad to see more and more people joining up here and taking an interest in tying! I am fairly new to it myself and I have learned a ton from the members on here and practice. Great group of people on this board and some awesome creations as well.
