I made these myself (can ya tell?:o) They are cheap to make but take a while to do. Lots of pinching, squeezing, grinding, shaping.... and all dealing with lead dust. I'd rather buy the blank jigs than make the mess. I made a post little while back about some heavy weighted clousers I made with them. Is this similar to what you are talking about? I'm in love with these clousers I can throw with my spinning reel. I am still looking for something to make them with fat bodies but not weighted for my fly rod.
