For you guys who have done past jig swaps do you include the city and state where your jig was born.(tied)
Since this is my "VERY FIRST" jig swap I am going to take all the jigs I receive and put them in a display case!
I will then display them in my fishing room.Looking forward to all of the different style of jig patterns!!!!!!!!

Well I hope my measure up and at least put a single fish on the tally. Looks like I am the oddball as far as styles so this will be one good test for them. Would suck to have all of them at the bottom of the lake without catching a fish.

Painting them now, hopefully I will have a sample by the end of the day. I have got to find a better paint to use on lead free jig heads. Two at a time on my make shift jig turner is taking forever. But they are all even, lol.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I am close to running out as well, black thread, chart. marabou, and flash!!!! I think I have enough to finish my last 6 but am sending out an order for reinforcements first thing tomorrow... just in case.

Fish 4 All, just so ya know, nothing hand made I get from anyone ever ends up in davey jones locker, unless the fish put it there. Even if it doesn't catch fish, I'll figure out a way to make the idea work for my lakes, and tear my hair out trying to figure out how to crochet!! Worse case scenario, you will be sending me knowledge instead of fish... If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.

I know they will catch fish, just not sure how effective they will be. I haven't proven them so I am always skeptical.

I wasn't actually going to crochet them seeing it is all one color but I guess I can. Good thing I didn't cement my prototypes yet. It doesn't matter to me, if everyone wants to see them crocheted but my prototypes are a wrap.

I am not sure about the tail yet. The material is the right color, to me anyway but it is too "foofy". I tried a white iridescent tail and marabou but it didn't look right, again to me anyway. I don't have a white crystal flash and wouldn't have time to get any so a little iridescent flash with white marabou would be the best I can do for a white tail.

    Here are the prototypes:

Will do a couple crochet ones to see if it still has the look to make it worth while for the time to do them. They are a #4 sickle on a 1/16 lead free head. The pink is bright but it also shows through some of the silver form the head. I think they turned out really good for the first protos.

    Crocheted version:

I will say I like them better, either one really. Not sure which one I like better though. Although the white marabou with a little flash is catchy surprisingly enough. That one looks like the one I will go with.
