Before you drive that distance, do a posting here for information on Monroe and check on the condition it is in. Last year it was up 8-9 ft all the way thru August and lots of launch ramps were closed and fishing was way different than when the lake is normal. Right now it’s high and muddy in over half the lake. 11 k acres can grow a third more water in high water sometimes.
