Told myself to never fish Lemon on a Sat. cause they only have a single ramp to launch from, but wanted to hit it again. Woke at 4 and was loaded and there by 7 am, and found myself in the middle of 2 Bass tourneys. 50 boats maybe? with one already launched and other one waiting till 7:30 so slammed getting boat ready and launched, only fished 4 hrs caught maybe 50 and kept 12 from 11 to 14”. Had 5 over 13”. One was a gilled 10.5 as he swallowed the crankbait. Water temp 58-59 max. Half inch of rain had stained the water it looked like in the upper half. This 2 plus inches we could get tonite will drop the water temps and back to fishing muddy water. I did catch the biggest, 14 1/8” going across a bay and creek channel that was 25 ft deep full speed in a chop, 2.5 mph with cranks set for 9’ but speed today was 1.4 to 1.6, in 8 ft.as deep as 12-14 ft of water with cranks set for couple feet off bottom. Saturday’s are brutal on Lemon.
