I thought they were going to but it has dropped almost 5 feet the last few days and still dropping as of now. Lake report site shows lake level is almost 3 feet under normal pool for today but they are still dropping it? Maybe because of the forecasted rain i guess. Ended up with over 3/4 an inch of rain yesterday. Was snowing and sleeting earlier, more rain tomorrow and then sunday and Monday. Got to love it. I had better weather fishing in the middle of winter then i have had this "spring". Looks like a possible light at the end of the tunnel after Monday though.

River still muddy and high; water temp has dropped a few degrees from a week ago. If they fill up the lake before the water temp gets warmer there will be no river fishing for white bass and it will be late lake fishing for crappie.

Think positive. We may not have a lot of rain for a while and the whites will still make their run as it warms up. I've seen it happen quite a few times when I and a friend used to chase them on Raccoon in early springs. You just have to time it right and be there. Good luck!

Couldnt stand it any longer, i went over to missy yesterday after the snow. Started at spillway as it was at a near perfect level. Few guys fishing but not bad. Had 6 keeper fish first 40 minutes and then they went and lowered the discharge and killed the bite on big fish. Figures! Left there and tried the lake..just stained water and calm conditions...only 2 fish and they were small.

Nice the entire week really. Sun is shining right now and feels great, hopefully rain keeps staying south. Light winds for the most part all week too. Bout time we get a decent stretch of weather.

2.4 inches of rain and it finally quit. Come on change in weather! I'm fishing and checking out the mushrooms every day starting tomorrow!

Do I go to deercamp in Green Co. and go shroomin? or go to fishcamp at The Coon and splash my boat and fish?

Love this time of year and thankful that I have such a choice.

I only fish The Coon cause that's where I keep my toon.

Give a couple of warm days before hammering da woods. Fish first. Turkey season is coming up also. Double your pleasure turkey and shrooming at the same time. It's what I enjoy. Love the spring time!

Stopped by Missy this morning, water still up a little and stained . Getting 44*-46* water temps, need that magic 50*-55* water temp to turn 'em on. Hoping the mushrooms start popping by next weekend.
