    Default Mushrooms Tomorrow?

I went out yesterday. The woods was pretty dry. I didn't find anything.
We got a pretty good rain this afternoon/evening. Maybe morels tomorrow?

Picked 70 at Missy yesterday. Some fresh but some were crumbling when you grabbed them so just left them. It's about done up there. Probably last weekend. I've took probably over 700 shrooms this year between the wife and I. Kept some and gave most away. People ask why I don't sell them. Sorry not my style. I'm definitely a believer in reaping what you sow.

Too much rain will make them spongy and fall apart. We had the same problem in southern Indiana when we got the 6 plus inch rain late April as they were springing up. Right after that,,the fresh ones were perfect as they came up. Find them while you can,,or go north with the spring time and keep picking.

Think they are about done here in Grant/Huntington/Wabash county vicinity. Me and about 6 buddies went out friday and sat and didnt have much luck Altogether we found about 40 but most were falling apart like stumpknocker said. The foliage is beginning to get too tall to see much of anything anyways.

What do the dark ones mean? Is this still a good shroom? I'm seeing several like it near Indy.

looks a little too far gone from the pic. remember those spots though! mark a map for next years search. hit spots you know produce so it saves you wasted looking. when your go to spots are poppin its time to look for new ones hard too.
