I have a handicapped buddy and we fish off the pier at Osbourne, have been for 5 or 6 years and never caught one. Only crappie and a few cats. just saying, see a lot of small gills in the shallows though

I read somewhere DNR is going to let you keep what you catch this year till they drain boggs? DNR will never stop the bass fisherment from putting shad in boggs either. Right now the lake isn't really that bad for bass or crappies or cats for that matter. People been catching nice fish all last year.
How much does it cost launch there now ......
10 bucks a day or 66.00 for a yearly pass.

I really don't understand why DNR has to drain this lake as its giving up tons of quality fish in the crappie, catfish, and large catches of nice largemouth bass too...but they have their reasons. I know of several people that fish this lake and enjoy it other than summer its full of pleasure boaters, but what lake isn't? And you have the campgrounds there as well,,all run by the city of Loogootee.
Last time I was at Boggs they charged me 15 dollars. Maybe they seen me comeing and thought they needed to charge more to let me in. I like the lake but can fish Glendale cheaper and it is closer.
I just checked with a friend that occasionally bass fishes it..and your right cause they charge 5.00 bucks to get into the park,,then 10 to launch,,so its 15 total. I never anymore fish it cause I don't like the fees either. Here is their website for the fees.

I thought that maybe they seen me comeing. then said if this guy is getting in he is paying extra.
