Nice job I didn't even think about going out had a cold this week just getting over it did some yard work yesterday got my grapes pruned and had to put a new cedar post in replacing a bad one. Sure was evident we had a bad winter most dead on my grape vines that I have ever seen after a record harvest last year they will be way down this year.
My girlfriend and I were there yesterday. We put in at the Jackson ramp and fished the coves from there over to some of the Painter creek coves. We got skunked!!!:banghead Another couple was back in one of the coves and where catching a few dinks. I tried spider rigging with minnows only, on a few poles, and hair jigs on another tipped with nibbles. Tried casting jigs and also some some jigs under a bobber. Despite no fish, it was a beautiful day!

One of those I got yesterday included my first 13 inch fish of the year plus a couple 12s, some 11s and kept a couple 9s for a good fish fry.

Cant wait to get out. Got new rod holders yesterday and new rods today. It is killing me setting here looking at them. Going to try Patoka for the first time before long. Nothing like going to a new lake having no clue where to start. I love trying new places.
