My boat sits lonely, and crappie rods collecting dust from a long hot summer of little use....and as my crappie fishing genes start to awake once again... I am wondering what the situation is on the Fall water turnover? I'm sure the hard core guys are on top of this one. Let me know what you are seeing out there. Thanks.

My hole is in bad shape!
That didn't come out right
not yet, water is still too warm. look for the low 50s. This weekend may get the temp down there.
X2 - If you believe the Corp. data, Monroe and Cataract would be about completed. All other lakes have a ways to go. Not certain how much I trust their graphs though. They look a little strange right now. That said, brushnjigs is right on - When surface temps hit mid 50's or below, everything is usually completed about that time. Smaller lakes should go earlier. Might profile a couple of them this weekend.

A lot of my spots turned over a couple weeks ago...but here's what I say, when the leaves are on the water you should be hittin' em hard and heavy. They just started falling here (Northern tier of the state) and I'm finally gettin' into the crappies fishing from shore.
Roaming the banks of the Kankakee River and anywhere else fish might lurk.
Hi all ...
Brookville has been holding solid at 68 degrees with the crappie and crappie holding deep.
Hopefully we will get some relief with the colder weather.
Stay safe all!
