Back out to the lake today. Was planning on doing EC, but a friend canceled out at the last minute, so changed lakes. Not as windy as yesterday, but strong enough in a tin boat. Found a few in protected areas, but the best spot was out in the open. Backtrolled on a small shallow flat point edged with timber and found the fish very willing to bite. Didn't expect that given the front. Took a good wind burn, but crappie were chewing (caught about 5 dozen), so I was happy. Water temps down to 68 today, with west/NW winds of 10 mph or so gusting to 15+. Caught everything on 1/16-oz. jigs today. Here are a couple pics.

T-9 you know I consider you a friend, and you're a great guy and an avid angler, plus we enjoy your screen shots and fish pics! However, it comes across alittle bias when you don't post "Heritage Lake Smackdown", or Heritage Lake Report 9/15, but have no problem calling out public lake names that some may consider over pressured already (not that I'm saying they are). I know Heritage Lake is private, but that would make it even more of a reason to post Heritage Lake Report, because nobody can access it to my knowledge. I hope you consider continuing to post, but the intel is just as good without the lake name IMO.

OK - I don't want this to get out of hand, or guys to take sides and start any kind of board warOn the Morse report I played along with TDH/HT "fire with fire". This time I thought I'd try and make them feel "guilty"
I consider them both friends, just messin' with them back - though I have to admit, it does feel a little like I'm getting singled out. There are other recent posts/reports mentioning Salamonie, Mississinewa, EC, and Patoka in the headers and nobody else got "teased".
No, I don't mention Heritage by name in reports, but that's because the last thing I want is for some Crappie.com guy to drive over there and launch, only to find his truck and vehicle towed when he gets back to the ramp, and him getting a ticket for trespassing on top of it, not to mention wasting his time and gas money. Much easier to just leave the lake name out than to try and put a disclaimer on every post I make with a report from there, or try and explain some misunderstanding to the guy affected.
If I go to a public lake, I don't mind mentioning it, though I try not to go overboard on any one single lake. We've had that discussion before on here...You pay gas money to drive over there, another $12 to launch, plus another $20 in bait/tackle/boat gas, etc., feel free to take a crack at finding and catching some fish. Slabmasters doesn't keep the names of their public tourney lakes secret, nor how well they did at every lake. Nice big write-up. Lots of pictures. The more participants the better. How is a single fishing report any different?
Anyway - don't think anyone meant to start anything. The only thing more boring to me than no reports on this board is a picture of a bunch of dead fish in a report with no details. Just trying to share some helpful info and the current bite with guys...
