T9, your posts are always enjoyed and read somewhat like an in-fisherman article. I have somewhat of a less scientific approach, so even the "dead fish pics" are enjoyable to me... usually humbling me and showing me the art of the possible, and also telling me when I should be getting my butt out there. One thing I learned when first targeting crappie was... go to a crappie lake if you want to catch crappie. At first, I didn't know which ones those were...but good people here helped. As you pointed out, one only has to go to the crappie club's list of tournament lakes to see what the best large public accessable crappie lakes are in Indiana. Some are known for quality fish, some for quantity as FF pointed out... some will cost you more than others due to the combination private but DNR managed lakes charging launch fees.
I have only one request T9, .... would you please do an in-depth posting on Patoka next....preferably right before the crappie club's year end classic? GPS coords too please. I hope that tournament comes along soon...these guys are getting kinda grumpy...LOL.
