I know this is an old thread but thought I'd give an update on this lake. Even though I read this beforehand I thought I'd still give it a try. As mentioned above, this lake is full of babies. Last night I pushed Kentucky rigs down by the dam and ended up with 15-20 7-inchers. I had one 10 inch fish that would still have been too slender to keep. I did catch an 18" bass, but as far as a crappie spot I won't be trying here any more.

Don't waste you time! Unless you want to take a kid or someone that wants to catch lots of fish, the lake is full of paper thin 5" to 8" crappie and small gills. The ramp is useless for a trailed boat. Try Elk Creek it is my first choice behind Hardy of course. Good luck!!
