    Default Thursday Morning Cat Slab

We had another tourney at Monroe this morning as the Cat is up another ft at 34.5ft (we will never be back home) We had 10 boats and had some good weigh ins. The first place team had 7 fish with a total weight of 5.34 lbs. They also had BC at 1.73 lbs. Second place had a little over 3 lbs. Not bad for high water. Monroe is 11.5 ft high and the high water ramp at Cutright over by the shelter house is still usable, with no problems. First place team were trolling cranks. The water on the fast side nice and clean. Could see large schools of shad. Idle side water color was good until you got up around Pine Grove and there it was stained bad to lightly muddy. The ones that went up there said they caught a lot of fish but no size. My team were in Moores Creek did finish 4th. (hey that is an improvement over last week.) We will be fishing at Monroe next week starting at 6:45. Come on out and have a good time. Summer is about over. A week from Sat will be Aug 1st and my birthday. You guys are hardcore and have my respect.. went there yesterday and when I can't see my crankbaits after lowering in 2ft of water.. that's muddy from causeway up. I will stay on patoka. Good luck on fishing.
