LS will show me if there is 5 fish on a tree,35 fish or 0 fish. Eliminates alot of water. Also shows if the fish in a brush pile are 7-8" fish or 10-12" fish. Shows crappie/whites glued on the bottom. You can see them swimming around. I can snipe big crappie swimming in open water with it and drop down on one sitting under neath a limb. Yes it's VERY frustrating seeing them swim up to my jig and not bite! I still use side imaging to find structure but I use LS to see the fish. Too each there own.
