    Default Rain

A little over 2 3/4 inch in rain gauge here in S.W. Champaign this morning with more to come. Instead of lake being clear, cold, and low; high, muddy, and warm. Might make me quite till spring.

We had 7" here at Eagle Creek S.P., the lake has come up two foot overnight.
With 12130 dfs of water coming in and only 2000 cfs going out we can expect to see a very high lake level.

Yep. River gauges are showing shelbyville to crest at over 614 before today and tomorrow's rain. Record level is 620 and I don't think we will be far off. Will take till at least March to get back down.

They do the same as they always do in muddy water. They still eat. When it settles and clears, they will still eat. Use high contrast lures in muddy water and (I use) bright colored lures in clear water. Or just use minnows... just my 2 sense.

I personally use clear baits on clear water and dark baits in darker water. As for the high water wait till it settles some and then it becomes a searching game. Them pulling the water hard will pull the crappie to the drops and should bunch them up. Just will be a lot of water for them to hide in. Side scan becomes even more of a mans best friend on the water
