To be honest I have no idea why any normal carpet layer could not handle this job. I am sure they would probably charge a little extra because it is not a normal job but this should be a cake walk for most.

Might be worth a phone call or two. Heck you could even bring the boat to them. Most carpet layers are not use to working out of their shop.
