Thank you for telling it like it really is. I said the same thing on FB brush busters forum a couple of weeks ago and the guides went nuts basically saying I didn't know what I'm talking about. Time we get our heads out of the sand and own up that there is a problem!

I'm not singling guides out on this. This lake was phenomenal for several years but the 25 fish limit has taken it's toll. I say slash the limit like Carlyle and Shelbyville. Cut it back to 10 overs and when it improves bump it to 15 like the other 2 corps lakes
Me neither. Im just messin with Nick although it might be Specks fault.

Lake Shelbyville has experienced in the past what is happening at Rend. The following article link will shed some light
and what is implemented. 10 fish limit over 10 inches and 5 fish under 10 inches. Read the article at the following link:

How many guides work on Rend most of the time? 5? 10? 15? How many Crappie do they take out a year? How many cheaters are there that have taken 2 and more limits a day off of Rend in the last few years. I have witnessed that! I am not referring to any guides as far as cheating. All the ones I know play by the books as far as I know and most of them are Great guys, but it does not change the numbers. I too wish Rend would go to a 10 or 15 limit over 10" and leave the smaller ones alone. I have fished under the bridges at times and seen guys that never throw a fish back. They all go in the boat regardless of size. One guy even commented he only eats them one bite at a time.
I know others of you have seen the same thing.

Ok, then how about everyone here take a pledge for a self imposed limit on crappie from rend. How about five over and five under? Anybody willing?
How about Crab? Do they have any limits on crappie?
No limit on crab. There should be in my opinion. Catching unders is why the lake is in it's current situation. Overs only
I too wish there was a 10" min and a 10 or 15 fish limit.
It has really helped the quality of fish on carlyle. The quality of fish over the past couple years has been great
