My neighbor joined me with his boat and we headed to Shelbyville on Friday night. Put in at Fox and cruised south towards the lights. We fished all night and did fair to less than fair in my experiences.
Ed tried out a floating light to fish by but not before responding he had full confidence in his charged batteries....
Before Sunup I said we should head to the structure nearby to fish in earnest. I pulled out and waited...my cell rang. It was Ed. His battery was dead.
After trying to jump his with my cables, I unhooked mine and he attached it. It started. He decided to call it a day so I escorted him all the way back to where we started!
I decided to return to the scene of the crime so to say from last weekend and found fish. Not as many but good fish. Even found a nest with eggs since last weekend.
While I was catching my Crappie I had my day made when I caught the biggest Walleye I ever caught - only caught two legal sized ones till now - and a few hours later caught another!
All in all, for me at least, it was a great day! A limit of nice Crappie and a bonus of two Sauer/Walleye!
