Cork, our last snowfall amount was 7" last Wed. here in Tuscola Illinois. Most of the existing snow that was on the ground prior to that, had been melted by a rather large winter rain! We are standing somewhere between 10"-14" of total ice on just about all bodies of water in this area. I would prematurely say you will owe us some crawdads this spring! The really nice big ones bud! LOL

EHALL, We catch em by the 40 pound sack. Early crawfish have soft shells and are really good. The later the harder they become. Can't wait for a sack to boil and chunk on the table. That good Ill. sweet corn and those small red potatoes goes real good in the pot. Crawfish colored crank baits are super on the bass. Beetle spins with a touch of red, orange, and black do a number on the big Goggle Eye and Sacalait. We'll be lookin for a good rise this spring. When it stands and starts to fall....its on....SLIP

Here in N. Illinois we have at least a foot of snow and almost 2 feet of ice on our lakes! I've got 4 feet of snow on each side of my driveway and six more inches will all but bury our mail box! As much as I love winter and ice fishing, I'm beginning to wish for spring....hopefully it don't melt all at once!

northwest il. 12 to 18 in. of snow on the ground,plus 3ft drifts +... 15 to 20in. of ice..

Central Il. has 10 inches in my front yard. Havnt seen this much snow in a long time. At least 10 years. You should have a good spring if you want high water.!!!
