So it started as a lake, turned into a landfill, where did the garbage go?

I find no reference, image, or documents online that shows any inference to Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park ever being a landfill.

Anyone have any, other than their friends, brothers, sisters, ex boyfriends mom, informational link that shows this landfill information? I know about testing there 20 years or so ago, but nothing indicative of an unsafe environment for current activity.

I'm not sure, but overall I wouldn't risk my health or my family health over some fish. Fromthe top, it does look clean in some part but, can't really tell what underneath. I could be wrong but after hearing more than a dozen people who say similar things, I rather not eat from that lake. Do it at your own risk but I don't think its worth it.

Wilbur, that park in Munster Indiana has a small lake for catch and release, the fish there are very big and it was built on a landfill. I guess the more they eat the bigger they get.

No wonder the crappie are so healthy, they are eating all the leftovers.
