Started off cold this morning, -2 at 6am. Hit the ice about 9:30, found some willing biters about 11 am or so. As fast as I could drop back down to them they were looking to hit it again. Ended up with 28 perch and 3 crappie. Kept them all as the boys in the Friday afternoon club are hankering for a fish fry.

When they slowed down in one hole, I'd move over some and pull some more up; all came from 4 holes, each fast and furious then slacked off.

Last hole I fished, I got in to the crappie then had a snarl on the pole that was catching them, set it aside and grabbed another to get back down. Got the 3rd small crappie, then it was back to perch. I missed the best crappie bite due to that tangle. I'll fix that issue after dinner so it hopefully won't happen again.

Absolutely stunning day to be out fishing on the ice. Dead calm wind, not a cloud in the sky, warmed up to low 20's and I was totally toasty in my coveralls. Sure doesn't happen like that too often.
