Although no crappie were found, I broke the ice (pun intended) on the '22 winter season today. worked my way out to about 20' of depth, drilling and checking as I went for safety. Plunked down the new toy, a Mega 360 and a G4 Helix 9 and set about learning how it works on ice. Pleased to say the videos I found on you-tube came in handy and I soon found some fish. Took a while but I was able to jig up 4 keeper perch of 12" or better but returned them all as I was in learning mode, not keeping mode. I have a feeling this M360 is going to be a good tool for me. I'm relatively new to ice fishing so I'm counting on the technology to augment my lack of experience.

Looks like we've go some good ice now and hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in some trips over the next couple of weeks. I thought my camera was in my stuff but it wasn't so no pictures of today's trip. It's in there now though. About 20 degrees when I started out, no wind and a fine sunny sky made for a very pleasant day on the hard water.

Anybody else on ice now? Lets hear about it!
