Another favorite is when you have multiple big red blobs swimming 5' or more to slam your jigs.Ice fishing is addicting for sure.

There are so many favorites eh HudsonRiveRat?
When you have those suspended schools and the fish rocket out of the pack up to your jig.

    I have 2 FL-8's. 1 is back up so I never go without 1 in my 5er.

Boy has it been a season.
It started off Dec.1st all the way to April 1st.
As I left the ice today I had this feeling that it was the last time.
Getting to shore and seeing how the ice broke away making me ladder it across a gapping 4 foot open water stretch to ice to open water to shore confirmed it.
Sure this ice was 14" out on the lake ,but the top 8 inches is honeycombed.
Besides I've had my fill of catching ice slabs for awhile.
I finished off the season with a Tues,Thurs.,Sat& Sun blast of power fishing.Runnin & gunnin style.
It was like a GI drill sargent behind me going...MOVE,MOVE,MOVE!

Here's my fish for the day..

I took this pic as I left. My thought were to say goodbye to the ole girl.
She fed me pretty darn good & many others this year.

As I look back I can remember how eager I was to get on her for the 1st time.
This was my 1st slab on Dec.1st..

Looking back the biggest I caught was a 15 incher here in my left hand..

So much has happened this winter season.
I have to thank Hoggie for helping me come out of the closet.
I hid my fish & everthing I did to catch them. With his mentoring ,I have become a better man, teacher and guide. This site has provided me an
outlet to share what I have learned, plus it has hooked me up with some great fishermen.
I sincerely could not have dreamed of the outcome being such a great expierence.
I want to thank everyone who took a chance on T.H.E Jig.
I am so happy to see that it is making a difference in the lives of guy's like Adam for instance or Flathead or SandBurr or Dadshamp.
The list goes on&on and will continue to grow .

Now that I am unable to get back on the lake I'll reside myself to getting orders filled & gearing up for open water. My memories of this year
are burned into my subconsience & I will look for you guys once again
when we get walkable ice next year.
Until then watch for my posts of open water pannies & if you get an itch to come up for them just call & I'll do some scratch'n.
My last video of ice fishing..

Well I lied.It got cold here and the shoreline froze back up.
So back at em we went.
Here's MT & Jack as they got there.
    Too funny!

It was the Dadshamp show today.
He drilled 3 to my 1 and caught the 2 nicest of them all.Released the 14"

This guy is big to put thing into perspective.6'2"
Right after he gets the mule of the day he snakes this 13"

Adam lost a 13 at the hole from trying to hoist the pig.
    Another life lesson.
He drilled this one shortly after.

Here's the crew that showed up.
    Greg,Jeff,Steve,Mark,Jim,Adam,Jack, Michael and myself.

    We had a blast!
