Great story & pics. Reminds me of my childhood. But like someone else said, less fish for me. Really is good stuff.

Wonderful article. I grew up fishing on a creek the same way with my Grandparents. I wouldnt trade those memorys for anything in the world. I would ask Grandpa why do you catch more fish than me. He would reply " Son you ain't holding your mouth right" ! I have three boys and cherish the times now when I can get them to go out with the old man and drown some crickets.!

Good stuff. I was fortunate to grow up in a family full of fisherman. Spent a lot of time on the lake, river, and numerous farm ponds making memories.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
I also have fond memories of growing up fishing from the bank of a creek, river, or pond. I also remember catching bluegills and redbreast on a flyrod.
neat article and cool pictures of your childhood fishing adventures. I remember fishing few times with my "granny" on their dock at Old Hickory Lake in TN. Wished I had some photos of those days. Thanks for sharing.
Curtis, what a wonderful collection of fishing history that you enjoyed with family and close friends.I love those old black and white photos! This article has opened a lifelong bunch of memories of my own experiences and fun times I had as a small child all the way to manhood! Thanks for sharing!
