Went by the the camp ground and talked to a lady there. She said they only lock the camp ground around 10 PM. Couple of boats in the water and lake was fairly calm. Clear as glass at the lower end. Tried to catch the DNR riding around but no luck. Went to Holly Grove and water was more stained but still could see down 3-4'. Talked to couple guys on the dock trying out a underwater camera. They said it is hit or miss, like GA Boy was saying, due to the amount of structure. The gate up there does get locked at night too. Wife has put in to go to Sinclair tonight and for me to take the boys tomorrow night to Juliette. Thinking about what's been posted and your definately right. Go early and locate some structure out on the edges of the timber with fish holding on the drop offs or points. Definately take it slow after dark. That lake is pretty remote if you get into trouble especially when I would probably be the only one out there at night. The Slider jigs like Dutch was using were what the guy at the dock said was the only jig to use. Just let it fall and watch the line and then work it slowly till you find 'em. Got to think there are some humps or something on the edges of the timber that would hold some fish. Will see what happens. 10 fish like Dutch had would be fine with me!

If I was going to fish there, I would try some live bait too......are you gonna tie off, and put out lights and the whole works???

If so, I would say honestly your best bet would be minnows tightlined over the side with a kinda small split-shot to keep the line tight.

I don't think I would be moving around too much after you get setup. It's not what's above the water that worries me, more of what is JUST below the surface that will damage a trolling motor or something else. Just need to be very careful moving around out there.....
I won't be at work........I'm feelin' crappie today!

Kinda tired right now from last nights 4 fish trip to Sinclair. Not sure why weren't biting. Were definately on the fish finder. Must have had something to do with the bait fish that were there Weds. night were not there last night.

I agree with you and thought about it last night. Juliette definately deserves respect and if go tonight will go early enough to scout before dark. Find something that will be easy to get back out of safely. Still got minnows from last night that deserve to stare down a slab. Got a lake map for Juliette and have found some areas that are supposed to have some stumps/timber on humps and are not back in those coves. Also an area just past the cooling pond area headed north where the lake narrows that has timber on one side and some dropoffs on the other not to mention the old pond dams down around 25'. Will go slow and keep the cell phone handy.
