    Talking New "to me" boat

:D Found a good deal on a 1995 Grumman 15' 4" with a 25hp Evinrude, trolling motor, hummingbird, 4 spiderrig style rod holders (2 poles each) (still have to install), 4 trolling rods (never been used), it had been in a man's basement and not used in a while, cranked right up and everything else seems to be in good shape, gotta sell my other boat now! The boys think its COOL "because it has a steering wheel like the other folks at the SLABFEST"!!!!! Now I gotta get REAL busy to get set up before the WP SLABFEST!!!! Gonna break it in right!:D

nice boat Dan... rusty has a gruman about the same size but older. Good crappie rig. Glad you got it. Might want to keep an eye on the water pump. After sitting up for years it is best to replace the brittle impeller. it is easy just get a book. Takes 30 minutes on a 25 at the most.

Congratulations on the new boat. Wish I lived closer so I could help you get her rigged up. Smittys right about the water pump, won't hurt to repace it, cheap insurance. I know you and the boys will have some good times with it. See you Sat..

ran it today at Blackshear in the hurricane!!!! Did real good in the rough water. Got to get used to fishing off the platform on the front because I am used to fishing down lower in the boat. Overall I am pleased so far...just got to sell my other boat now to free up some $$ to change a few things like the trolling motor and a depth finder up front.....but till then....WE GONNA FISH!!!!

From the looks of the weather forecast you may get another chance to check out your new boat in some really bad conditions. Supposed to be real windy tonight and Saturday all day long. Paula is not going to make this one, she has some kind of flu bug and is sick as a dog so looks like I'm gonna fish this one alone. If I can get out of here (work) early enough I'll drop off my camper and run back to get the boat. If not I'll swing by the campground and drop off some firewood and visit and find a motel. I need to see Trumpdriver and settle up on the campsite.

    Pictures?
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
