I just received an email from DI. He did receive the rod and reel. He fished a little in a creek and caught four carp using corn for bait. He said it felt good to feel the tug on the line.

and I'm in the process of putting together a little "care package" for him and his boys. Gonna send him some fishing line, hooks & sinkers, etc. ... so he can put a whoopin on those golden buglenose bass ... er Crappie .. I mean, CARP :p
