    Default Eufaula

Looks like Eufaula might be shot for the upcoming week. And with the full moon (tomorrow) to boot. Most of the drainage area got 4 to 6 inches of rain today. And a pretty good size area just west of Eufaula got more than 10". Which will really muddy the lake from Lakepoint Park south. And it's still raining there.

I had planned on going Tuesday. I might need an auger to get through the mud if I still go.

    Default Mud

The pinkish purple are west and south of Eufaula got more than 10". I guess I'm still going tomorrow. I will put in at Rood Creek and see what happens on the north end of the lake.

Hey Joefishin, i looked up on Accuweather and it only shows Eufaula getting only about .98" of rain yesterday. I know here, we only had about 1/4 ". Good luck if you go i am trying to get out the ladder part of the week myself.

just stopped raining here and it was hard today. Gonna be stained for sure. Crappie like stained water. The water up here was getting to clear. Even west point looked clear. looking forward to your report. I have to fish Eufaula more this year. I want to learn more about the lower end of the lake. I know every crook from Columbus to Cottonton but nothing lower

Fished Eufaula from 8 till 3. Put in at Florence Marina. Fished Little Barber Creek. Didn't get a bite. Headed south to the Lakepoint Marina area. Caught just 4 crappie. Along with 8 bream and 6 catfish. Water was stained. Everthing looked great. They just weren't in the shallow water in places as I've caught them before at this time. I dumped 'em all back in before I left. I did see something I've never seen. A guy and his wife were fishing close to us and about 50 yards from a large gator sitting in shallow water. The guy catches a fish. And the gator raised immortal hades. It lifted it's head and tail straight into the air and bellowed like a bull for at least 30 seconds. The lady in the boat was yelling for her husband to start the motor. I seemed pretty P.O.'ed with the guy getting his fish.

Sounds to me like this was one time he needed to listen to his wife! LOL
