A 11/17 Report...
Caught 25 small to medium sized crappie last week and then switched over to catfishing. Had marked a good many large arches in one particular area so decided on my next trip I'd see if any wanted to bite. As luck would have it I netted a pretty good one...a 33 lb blue after just having one tangle in the prop and break off. I was fishing Clark hill lake. Here's a pic of the biggest.

Talquin 24-27 October 16Made annual trip to Lake Talquin with Daughter and C. Little. The weather was perfect except for the warm temps in the afternoon. Fish were scattered but the bigger fish were in the flats across from Harvey Mill. We averaged about 25-30 keepers each day and lots of 10 inch throwbacks. On this trip, we stayed at Ingram's Marina for the first time in many years. The bite will get better as the water temps cools. We also found fish in the back of coves in 13 foot of water. On the last day, had cook-out at lunch before heading home.........wonderful time with daughter who loves to fish. Should be plenty of fish caught next weekend at the Crappie.com event. Our best bait was Tex's Popsickle

Made it to Blackshear one more time......The weather was so perfect never looked at the water temps.......The fish were really scattered and we never found many. Had the pleasure of fishing with Nicholas Whitten from Florida and was suppose to show him how to catch fish.......showed him how to longline and that's about it. Did not see many fish being caught but a wonderful day to be sharing the outdoors. But we did catch some......and the jigs we were using.
