    Default Lake Blackshear Thursday 11/10/16

Fished Blackshear today. The lake is low but the fish are still biting. We fished from 280 to Lincoln Pinch along the edges of the channel. The water temp was 66 degrees when we got there. Good bite early but slowed around lunch and we came home. Best bait was Tex's Popsickle for us along with bubblegum. We were longlining using Litewirehooks and #5 piece of lead....or double with 1/8 and 1/16. Fish still scattered over Trash Piles and humps......Kept 25 for the Grease.

    Default 17 Nov Blackshear

Fished Blackshear this morning and the bite was pretty good. Water temps was 63 degrees and we fished the edges of the channel over trash piles. Our best bait was Pony with Black Stinger and Tex's Popsickle. Lots of smaller fish along the way. Best rig was Double 1/16 with #7 Lead in middle or single 1/16 with #4/5 lead. Lots of people at Flint River Outdoors buying minnows and we saw several catching fish along the channel. Wonderful day to be on the water. Put in at the Mega Ramp.

    for Hotwater

    ANOTHER GOOD DAY ON OCONEE

We fished Lake Oconee again today and the fish were cooperating. Jim and I began fishing this morning around 7:30. The early bite was good but only lasted a few minutes. We trolled the channels and channel edges and managed to have 10 fish by 10:00. The afternoon bite was real good and we picked up many quality fish. We finished the day with 31 fish 10.5 inches or better. Jim caught a 15 inch fish which was the biggest of the day. The water temperature was 62 when we started and rose to 66 degrees at mid-afternoon. Jim pushed jigs out of the front of the boat and I pulled long lines out of the back. The next few weeks should be outstanding!
