Welcome to Oconee. First let me say Oconee can be a very humbling lake at any given time. When they backed up the lake they left a lot of standing timber and topped it so when the lake is full it will be 10-12ft below the surface of the water. With good electronics you can find these areas (there are many and not hard to find). Start over these areas in the morning and as the sun gets higher in the sky move to the flats or under water points (a navonics chip is very helpful to find these). Hope this will help.
