Agreed, tip jigs with minnows or use plain minnows when water temp is 60 and below, you can begin to use Kalin 2 inch grubs when the temp starts edging above 60 and they will murder them and you do not have to fool with minnows at all. Was going to say 55 degrees cause that is were I start long lining at, but when spider rigging with Kalin's I found a little warmer temp is needed for some reason for them to start hitting them real good.
