I was in line to launch Saturday 4/26 at Long Shoals Lake Oconee and saw a boat out in lake with 2 paddling. Told my wife that just as soon as we could get in the water I would pull them to the ramp. Saw several boats just go on by to go fishing. I was in line behind a charcoal colored Lowe boat (2 men) with a CDC tag on it. When I backed in I saw a Red Ranger (1 man) start out to the boat needing help. If my guessing is correct I think the Red Ranger was Mr Kitchens. I didn't get to speak to them since the ramp and dock was full as a tick and more coming.
I have been pulled and pulled many others, but it is getting rare to see someone stop and help.
Just wanted everyone to know that the Red Ranger man put helping another boater ahead of running to his fishing spot. Fishing is done in more that one way.

I'd stop & help anybody that I saw broke down. Can't imagine ignoring anyone on the water.

Nice, I always help when needed. Got stranded on santee cooper once took me and my buddy four hours to paddle back to launch.
I bet that was Earl Kitchens..Talked to him yesterday and he was at oconee..in that area...I"ve been boating for 40 years and been broke down a few times! Pulled someone in on the river last year....What goes around comes around....If you've never been stranded...you haven't fished enough! Don't ever leave a fellow angler behind!

If I see some one broke down on the water I will stop and offer to help. Not everyone in this day and age will...some rude people on the water nowdays.

I will never leave another boater stranded on the water used to commercial fish and been helped just as many times as I helped someone it's a shame someone will run past another when they see them in distress

I was there, would have provided a tow but, the Ranger already had them secured by the time I spotted them.
I always provide a tow when someone needs it.
Tip of the hat to the Ranger!

Year before last went to Big Lazer PFA suck the boat on a underwater stump. The only way we got off was because a couple from Thomaston got on the bank and pulled us off with anchor ropes. That being said if I see someone in need I am going to help.
