I'd get up in the middle of night and drive an hour + to oconee to help anybody without hesitation that I feel would do the same for me .

I've never seen any of todays young fishermen slow down enough to lend a helping hand, 'course it's been AWHILE since I've seen anyone broke down too. Back in the day when fishermen was more curtious anyone would stop to help. Well, atleast I want to think that's the case.

Couple of weeks ago I was long lining in Belews lake in NC , just fishing away listening to the radio and running my live well aerator , well when I got done guess what , yep batteries dead, 2 nice young men rolled there rods up and jumped me off. I will pay it forward in the future.

Navigator, that was my boat in front of you. Me and Slim was behind Earl Kitchens in line. I just had put my boat in when Earl said he was going to pull those guys in.

i had a offer this past Sat. but i didn`t need it i was just checking something under the hood . it wasen`t running just right . got it out of the water and found out that one coil had went out .

Glad you got it to limp back to dock, I had a cracked fuel line last week between pump and filter but made a quick fix and went to next fishing spot, life is good.Originally Posted by papasage

I spun a prop on my saltwater boat a couple years ago off the Georgia coast about 14 miles from the ramp. We used the trolling motor against the current till the batteries gave out and just when I thought we were going to drift off into the Atlantic ocean, a guide that we had seen earlier came by and towed us halfway in until the Sheriff's department could tow us the rest of the way. The guide said he had been towed in twice already that year and he was paying it forward. He did ask if I had a cold beer in the boat, but unfortunately I didn't. I can say I was never so glad for a tow as I was that evening. Now I keep a new hub bushing and the tools to change it in my boat along with a cold beer just in case.
