i read a lot of forums and try to learn everything i can about humminbirds and electronic in general. most people say si and di do not work for marking fish when you are not moving more than 1 mph and your scroll speed set to match. i say hogwash. me and jigslinger were fishing a bridge the other day. and marking very little at all. i looked down to see the screen and watched as this shool moved up to this pilon and stopped. in the shot on the left you can see them coming to it from the upper right. the lines are kind of strung out cause they are moving and we are not. then as they stop next to the pilon you can see them more like they would look if you were moving and scanning the bridge.you can also see them in the 2d sonar. they dont apear as arches because we are not moving and they are not passing all the way through the sonar beam. in the pic on the right you can see the fish stacked up around the old bridge pilon under the newer bridge, in this pic we were not moving either.what do you guys think. and what is your oppinion on this
