I have a 798ci SI. If I had it to do again I would save a few more bucks and get a 898, 998 or 1198. The picture is so much better. It is also capable of using the 800khz in the SI and DI.and it is eithernet ready. But at the same same time I must say the 798 is pretty incredible.

Yes I know that. In the pic the fish had been moving in for a while.. I kept watching them. I wish I took more screen shots.or a recording. There were very few fish when we started fishing the bridge. As we were holding still at the end of the pilon I watched as they came in and we started catching some. The direction they were coming from is not the same as where I stated they were coming from on the screen. Guess I should have said that.

I have a 997 when im stopped yes you turn the scroll speed to 1 mph then switch screen to di an watch the party in question . switch fire you can put a jig in the water an watch it dance not a pro at that just yet but still trying . Humminbird is good equipment go to doug venturinburg i know i didnt spell his name right you can watch u-tube for hours on anything you need to learn have a pen an paper ready quality stuff.

fuzbo try depth times 3 on side imageing and play with it from there as to how you want them to look

When I am scanning a area my SI distance is usually set to 2 to 3 times the depth of water I am in. But I change it up and down depending on what I am trying to see. Remember that you should set your chart speed to match your boat speed. When scanning.

Works great doesn't it. When I push minnows and spider rig I use 2d and DI or SI split screen. To stay on top of a school. Doug's videos are great for learning about these units. I also read all the posts on bbcboards Doug, Wayne p and Humminbird Greg are a couple amazing guys.
