I started last year using some super bright led lights that are blue from bluelightcrappie.com did a web research on blue/green&white light. Blue led lights shine deep into the water and will attract bait fish.

I used the same type lights on the outside of my boat, but in white. Wanted to illuminate my rods without having an overhead light on to attract bugs. Used alcohol to clean surface and stuck lights on boat with supplied 3m tape. Had them about a year and has held up good. I havnt tried to attract bait with just leds yet. Last time out, 1 of my 2 submerged lights didnt work. Leds on both sides of boat and submerged light on one side, had bait to submerged light first, then about 30 minutes later had bait on the other side. Next time out Im going to try just the leds.![]()

Do blue led lights shine deeper better than white and do blue led lights attract bait better than white?![]()
Could anyone look at this link and give me your opinion comparing the lights you have come across ? I am considering using this brand of tape light for illuminating the side of my boat for night fishing

Still looking at the three suppliers below and the subtle differences such as one has 600 led per 16' roll another 300 led per roll one is bright white the other in warm white. The one says 620 lumens per 3' for a total of over 3200 lumens per roll 16'. I think they all said Type SMD 3528 CRI Ip68 so from there I get a bit of uncertainty as to the why the very thing that make them similar allows one of them to claim to be brighter and therefore cost more, kind of makes me want to lean towards the Led Wholesalers product the more of which they are out of stock on the waterproof 600 smd and I did not see mentioned whether it comes in bright white or warm white I prefer bright white (cool white). Again take a look if you will I would appreciate it the more. I feel I am getting closer to the right product and can't wait to outfit my boat for night fishing at the flip of a switch.
