I was looking on ebay and came across LED strip lights. They are waterproof and 3M backed 12V 5050 .
I found green 5meter strips for around $20. I was wondering if anyone had used these on the outside of there boat, simmilar to under water lights to attract bait. seems like a good price.
They have 300 leds in the stip and come in 5050 (brighter bulb).

Your thoughts on this?

wouldnt have to lug underwater lights around and should be very low power use.
