    Default Sinclair Report 11/15/11

Walk out on the dock about 5pm to see if the crappie were holding in the structure I had placed off the end of my dock in about 13ft of water. Caught some sho nuff slabs. Using 2lbs test, 1/64th head and a Ice Fin-S Shad. Let it gently fall into the plastic well pipe I had sunk in concrete and made a very slow retrieve. They were busting it on every cast. They seemed to be hitting it pretty hard. A very hard tap. They seem to be holding in structure. I will hopefully find them under docks tomorrow in the kayak. I have the docks lights on and will try them about 9pm. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Thanks for the report, I have been hearing reports from others about Sinclair coming online as well. You amaze me with your setup, always have over the years, finesse that's for sure. Guess the saying goes if it is not broke don't fix it. Always look forward to your post, there is something about them that just strikes my interest. They are very informative.

And you can take them to the bank. I had the good fortune of getting to fish with him one day and he is sure in tune with the fish in that area.

All of you are much too kind. Thank you. Went out on the dock about 9pm, but only caught a dink. Am planning on going out around 11pm. Will let you know how I did.

This time of year is just strange. Decided to go out and fish my lights at 5am. Not a single shad on top of the water. Now keep in mind the surface of my cove was covered with schools of shad a dusk, but there were none under the lights at 9pm either. Caught two nice slabs, but I had to cast a couple dozen times to catch those. Why would the shad be so plentiful at dusk, but not be attracted to my lights all night. I notice several fishermen came up to the lights to fish, but none stayed that long. Nature and fishing are are amazing things, just when you think you have both figured out, they both show you what a fool you are.

Fred and TimR have been having very good luck in brush in 20-30 FOW. They are reporting really good fish this fall. Fred caught 9 in a row yesterday and all 9 were in the 12 inch range. This is a hellofa time to be landlocked nursing a Boykin Spaniel.

    Y'all git to fishing.

Thanks for the report River Hawk, Strange the way those minners act sometimes. Makes ya wonder how many fish look at your jigs and just don't bite.

I have seen the schools of shad in swarms in some certain places and none in the rest of the entire creek arm I was fishing. Makes me wish I never had sold my house on Little River. Love Sinclair, mabe one day I'll hit the LOTO and be able to buy me another house down there.
