my 2 cents
I once took some JB Weld to a 350 chevy block with a stress crack between #2 and #4 cylinder. To my knowledge, it's still going strong.
Of course, no flexing was involved... but definitely lots of heat.
That stuff works miracles. I wouldn't hesitate to try it on anything in a boat. But be sure to get the fast acting kind.
