have 2 holding tanks i need to repair . i read a post on this a few dayes ago but can`t find it if anone knowas of a good way to repair them i would appreciate it .they are holding tanks on my motorhome . they are detorated frome sun and light just on a small outside .
maby a FT. Sq. one tank is cracked but another is split i patched it but ned a permanite fix.

Sage, have you tried marine jb weld? I get it at bass pro. I can get it and send it to you if you don"t have one where you are. Jimmy S.
this has to be flexabl and is a large hole i need to put a patch on . it is
Polyethylene and tried plastic weld and it doesen`t work on
Polyethylene.may try windshield sealer it will stick to anything .

my soninlaw worked at a plastic plant and he did a research on the poly plastic and there is no glue that will stick to it . you can onley melt it togather with the proper equipment .

looked up plastic welder and have one ordered to repair the tanks. guess i will have to learn plastic welding .

I had some cracks in 3 wheeler finders, I fixed with hot glue gun. You have to melt the plastic finders as you apply the glue. HOnda had some red glue sticks for that purpose. Held pretty good, it will only look as good as your "welding" skills. Tried the same thing on a plastic gas tank, didn't hold too good (leaked). You may also try fiberglasing it. I built a livewell in an alum boat once. The resin stuck to the alum for many years.
