Big dry flys work too in the summer, last year I caught one about 22Lbs out of a pond by accident. I was testing out some new flies. Someone told me when the cottonwoods seeds drop the carp love them. Good luck.

I've caught them on stonefly nymph patterns and CDC imitations of cottonwood seeds. I have a secret pattern also that I'm not ready to turn loose of yet... hehehe
