several of my friends got into fly fishing and every last one of them went and bought neoprene waders against my advice.............every last one of them withing a few trips replaced them with stocking foot breathable waders. two of those guys bought $79 cheapos and both of those guys have purchased their third set.
you try to save money by purchasing neoprene to duck and fly fish, then you try to save money by purchasing the least expensive and in the end you have spent more money.
imo i dont think you have to spend a fortune but you do have to buy decent. i bought a set of orvis basic stocking foot breathable waders 5 years ago for $129 and have used the crap out of them. no leaks, no problems. lifetime warranty and from my understanding, orvis backs it up.
