Same thing at the Stick Marsh. Surface water temp was 57.9 degrees when I launched at 1000 and never reached 60 degrees. Two of us drifted for 6 hours and caught 8 or 9 and only 4 were keepers. There are a few places that have water between 12-16 feet. According to my Fish Finder there were thousands of fish in that deep water. I assume some of them must be Crappie. Would not bite anything we offered. Jim Porter (Guide) told me that anytime the water temp gets below 70 degrees at the Stick Marsh, they start slowing down. I think at 57 degrees they have lockjaw. Cold for the next few nights ain't going to help. Think I'll stay away until the water temp gets back up to at least the mid 60s.
