    Default Lake Placid?

Anyone ever fish there? I have a real good family friend who lives on a lake down there in summer and back home in MS durring hunting season. He has invited me down time after time to fish w/ him and I havent been yet. Whats the lakes down there like? Granddaddy and friends use to go down there allot and wear some bream out but Im wondering about the slabs. Think Im going to try and go down mid-late feb. before the Georgia slabfest

    DK:

The best spec fishing has been on Lake June and Lake Istapoga from
the reports I hear. I cannot confirm them personally, but have been
doing pretty good on bass. Of course, fishing at the time you are coming
will depend on the weather then. You should have a great time!

    Good luck

Have you been fishing Lake Sebring dixie, or lakes near Sebring?

I'm shorebound right now but I've tried a canal into Sebring, Dinner Lake lauch area and Istokpoga north launch area with little success. Maybe it will pick up after the coming cold front ??

Not Lake Sebring but it is a lake that is close to me. I fish a small no name lake in Sun-N-Lake community and about four ponds further back into the woods behind the community. Have not ventured down to Lake Placid town, the Big Ditch, or canals down there in a long while. Work lately gives me little time so I have to fish close for the time being or unless my fishing buddy wants to go on one of my days off.

    Ha!

That's crazy, my aunt and uncle actually own a nice place off of lake Placid. It's been years since I've been there, and we only did bass fishing so I'm not too sure on specks...

Maybe we'll see you out there one day
